Carolina Beer Temple and Rebel Base Comics have teamed up to bring a fun and unique experience to Historic Downtown Matthews. Located on the 1st floor of the Matthews Ballroom Building (189 N. Trade St.), The Temple’s Edge offers a comic bookstore & collectibles gift shop with gaming tables where you can play your favorite games with friends or family. We have over 100+ games in stock available to play for free! And while playing you can enjoy a craft beer, wine, cider, seltzer or soft drink from the beverage list carefully curated by the Carolina Beer Temple team! We also offer some small snack options, but outside food is always welcome!
It all started in 2019 when Carolina Beer Temple and Rebel Base Comics began teaming up to bring you “Game Nights.” Rebel Base brought the games, we provided the beverages, and you brought the fun! The success of Game Night led our two businesses to collaborate on a fun, new concept and thus The Temple’s Edge was born! The Temple’s Edge features countless games to play (or you can bring your own) in a fun environment featuring craft beer, wine, soft drinks and more!
