Nestled in historic downtown Matthews, we are located at 215 N. Ames St, Suite 1000, at Ames Station. We are the premier craft beer bar & bottle shop in the Charlotte area, plus we feature the Ames St. Marketplace with several vendors to meet all your needs.
As well, we are fiercely dedicated to only carrying beers made by breweries that are independently owned, while offering a full wine list, plus cider, seltzers, meads and NA options.
30 Beers On Draft
Our draft list features 30 taps, most of which rotate, and a few you can expect upon each visit - including several private label brews. We have a few taps dedicated to Belgian ales (including two St. Bernadus taps), plus a nitro line, a Lukr faucet and a Side Pull faucet. Wine Too!
At Carolina Beer Temple we realize not everyone is the mood for a craft beer (although we can’t figure out why), so we also offer a fully curated Wine list. We’re sure our wine drinkers will find something delightful to try.
Beer To-Go
Our inventory constantly changes, and new breweries are frequently introduced to our selection. We specialize in rare and hard-to-find brews from the Carolinas, from across the country and from around the world. Stop in regularly and you are bound to see new offerings on every visit.

At Carolina Beer Temple we always have something going on, whether it be weekly brewery spotlights, live music, wrestling shows or festivals. No matter what’s going on we pride ourselves on always making the beer the focus.
